EAOM-AAOM Joint Meeting in Las Vegas
Dear EAOM Members,
I hope this message finds you well.
I am writing to share with you the great success of the recent Joint EAOM-AAOM Meeting, which took place in Las Vegas from May 14 to 17, 2025. This extraordinary event brought together over 400 delegates from across the globe for four remarkable days of scientific exchange, innovation, and international collaboration.
The meeting was a celebration of everything that makes our specialty unique: the constant pursuit of clinical and scientific excellence, the richness of interdisciplinary dialogue, and the warm, collegial spirit that connects us as a community.
The scientific program was particularly outstanding, featuring the latest advances in oral medicine — from clinical innovations to translational research, rare diseases to mucosal immunopathology, and much more. This would not have been possible without the exceptional work of the Scientific Committee, and in particular Professor Nikolaos Nikitakis, who served as Co-Chair, and whose dedication, expertise, and leadership were instrumental in shaping the program’s success.
A heartfelt thank you also goes to Dr. Konstantina Delli, Secretary of the EAOM, whose tireless organizational efforts and unwavering commitment contributed greatly to the smooth execution of the meeting and the active participation of our European community.
I would also like to express my sincere appreciation to Dr. Maria Georgaki, Treasurer of the EAOM, for her meticulous oversight and support, ensuring the financial and operational stability necessary for such a successful event.
A special word of gratitude goes to Professor Michael Escudier, Past President of the EAOM, whose leadership and vision in recent years have laid the groundwork for much of what we continue to build on today.
And of course, my warm thanks to Professor Michele Mignogna, our President-elect, for his continued dedication to the mission of the EAOM. I have every confidence that the Association is in excellent hands for the future.
Finally, I would like to extend my deep appreciation to all members of the EAOM Board who have contributed to the organization of this meeting and supported its planning and development over the past two years. Their collective effort, insight, and commitment have been essential in bringing this important event to life.
In addition to the academic content, the meeting offered memorable social events that strengthened ties between colleagues and created new friendships across borders.
On behalf of the European Association of Oral Medicine, I would like to thank all of you who attended, especially those who traveled from various parts of Europe to be part of this unique transatlantic experience. Your presence and engagement were truly appreciated.
For those who could not join us this time, we hope you will be part of future EAOM events — we look forward to welcoming you to Athens, 2027!
Warm regards,
Marco Meleti
President, European Association of Oral Medicine (EAOM)
